Anybody had any experience with these modules?

LJ L15 MOSFET Amplifier boards 150W 8 ohm Mono (Pair) - Audiophonics

Im looking to build a solid state AB amp, looking for a solid and dynamic sound..

Not sure what solid sound is, and all sound is by its nature dynamic. The units claim 0.02% THD and -3dB at 5Hz, so go by that. There is one 4/5 review on that site, but Google translate doesn't do a good job with it!

There is no source resistors for the output mosfet. I suppose they are very well matched.
There is no bias current adjustment potentiometer....curious to know how can they control the target bias current from one board to the other....
I do not see mosfet gate protection diodes.
The indicated claimed Power ratio must be based on a very beefy power supply to get 4 times the power into 2 ohms....

Still Hard to tell if it is a good choice...

Thanks for the response. So will keep looking, there seems to be many ideas and projects on this forum. Any idea of a tried and tested design? I'm looking for say 100w per channel,

I'm in UK, so kken for a kit or start from scratch

Imo, those heatsinks are way too small for 6 o/p devices rated at 150W each.
Also the fin direction should be vertical for best airflow.
No need to even bother looking at the electrical

I think these are a LJM design, completely agree on the heatsink situation, will keep looking, but keen to find a kit in UK or Europe thanks for the helpful replies

Was also looking at this module FSDD 120L Dual Differential Stereo Amplifier Class A/B 2x120W 8 Ohm - Audiophonics

I can assemble and solder 100%, and make from scratch.
But don't want to re invent the wheel

That L15 is LJM indeed, exactly the same you can buy via ebay.

Audiophonics.fr are mostly aliexpress or ebay Chinese modules. I'm sure UK have some kits available. At least from velleman

If you don't mind building from scratch I can recommend this amp from Bonsai of this parish. 50 watts in class AAB so needs decent sized heat sinks. Does sound good though.

Ljm are normally considered good quality. But fakes do exist. Ljm have a profile here.

Please can you point me in the right direction, not sure even where to start, I see there are lots of different apex designs. To be honest, I haven't the patience or time to experiment, just want a solid tried and tested amazing sounding Amp design 😁,

Hi Fynk, I do not like to recommend something that I have not tried or experienced first hand.
But as far as the DIYAudio Honey Badger design, I am pretty sure that is a solid design, all the mechanical bits are available in the DIYAudio store. Something to consider, if that is your cup of tea? Rick

Thanks, just looking into that design, I started looking at the apex designs, but got so lost and confused in that thread 🙄

Terry Yates has built most of the Apex designs iirc. He even etched his own boards, which I do not recommend, but it is doable.
Yes the Apex threads are long and convoluted.
