Audio Video Digital Networks?

Seems to be a need for such. Some people use Ethernet, but that was never meant to be used for strict real time purposes.

Any ideas about what the future might hold, or what needs to be developed?

I have been attracted to the Gibson Guitar company's idea.

Any ideas or news about what is happening?

Any thoughts about going to OFDM for an Audio Video Network?

ONE MILLION MoCAs SERVED

TelcoTV, Dallas, TX November 6, 2006 – The Multimedia over Coax
Alliance (MoCA™) has reached a major milestone in its young life with
the confirmation that it has one million nodes in deployment by
systems vendors and service providers.
A variety of products such as PVR/DVR and client side set top boxes,
broadband home routers, residential gateways, Ethernet to MoCA bridges
and ONTs are currently in deployment by MoCA members.

2Wire, Actiontec, Motorola, Mototech, Panasonic, Tellabs and Westell
are among those using MoCA in their various home networking
products. MoCA can also be found in Verizon’s FiOS TV.

“The announcement by MoCA that one million nodes are now deployed is
impressive by itself, but if you look at the variety of devices that
are included, the momentum looks very powerful,” said David Foote,
CTO, Hitachi Telecom (USA), Inc.

"At Actiontec we are singularly focused on enriching the digital lives
of broadband users worldwide,” said Gunjan Bow, VP of marketing and
product management at Actiontec. MoCA is a key enabling standard that
defines the next milestone in this evolution. We are delighted to see
the efforts of MoCA Alliance result in 1 million deployments in such a
short period of time."
