Ive built a few DIY efforts over the years, and though an LPAD has advantages over a simple resistor, Ive never experienced problems.
I understand that the extra series R the attenuated driver 'system' will show an increased Qes. Eg a dome tweeter with little or no rear chamber. Which brings me to my question.
With its lower inductance, and I assume a low BL (or I^2BL or whatever it is) and a low inductance. Does a ribbon tweeter require an L pad?*
Is this true?
In which case is a lpad More or Less desirable/necessary?
