"Aperture" Preamp Chassis

Hello everyone,

This is the first run prototype you are looking at. There are a couple of dimensional changes to make. I am currently building
another Foreplay in the chassis and am finding out that things work better for the circuit layout with the volume and input selector off to one side.
So, in the final version the tube window will be 1.5" or so off to the right. This also makes the chassis more interesting aesthetically.

They should be ready for sale in 2-3 weeks. The base model is black wrinkle powder coated aluminum and features a 1/8" thick tray, front and rear panels. It measures 12” wide by 4” tall by 10” deep. This model will sell for $125.00. I will also be offering faceplates made of different materials including walnut, lacewood and some clear acrylics.

Hello Carl,

The chassis should be available by the end of next week. At that time, you will be able to purchase them either directly from the website using credit card or you will be able to mail payment directly to me. www.wiremonkey.com. The web site will go up on Wednesday or Thursday. I will reserve one for you.

Or walnut with no box seat fasteners

Due to some fantastic feedback regarding these chassis, I have incorporated some design options such as the walnut face plate without the bracket fasteners. It provides a cleaner look.
