Hi all,
I was looking around for a current production 2" CD for a 300Hz midrange horn and stumbled over the Faital Pro HMF200, it is a paper cone cd and it might be a good candidate. There is very little info on its actual construction on the web site so it would be nice if anyone has some info on it.

the faital looks interesting there is also the B&C DCM50 , also a paper cone that can be crossed lowish, others will suggest bms which i do not favor . what horn do you plan on using at which crossover freq.? unfortunately i have no experience w/ the faital either.

wow this thing is so linear!
Soo it looks 🙂
The horn it wuold be tested in is a round tractrix with a 220Hz mouth. I am also tempted to build a 1m dia OSWG, but thats in the future 🙂
It looks like i will have to buy one and try.

The impedance curve suggests otherwise, even when heavily smoothed.

Exactly, the curves are a bit contradictive. I guess the only way to find out is to get one and test it.
