Anyone tried Troels JENSEN 1071?

Hello
I have heard this system,,,the sound it is,what i will call, a typical scanspeak sound..
good tight bass,,clean midle tone ,,and a tweater witch is good open
the sound is not for me,,i do not like the high middle,,it is not so pleasant to the ears
if i have those speaker, i think, that i will chance the filter
But if you are to a very open ,dynamic sound with a really good bass,,this could be the way to go
hope this help a little

Jensen 1071 filter explanations - Please

I'm on this project with modified woofer, could some kind person explain me the structure of the original crossover, just to understand each component function ?

Basically seems possible without any filter modification to use the 28W/8878 driver instead of the 26W/8861 (but with a 60 liters vented box). Troel confirmed it.

When looking at the 32W/8878 woofer, all electrical datas are very closed to the original 26W, the low pass would remain the same, but again a 60 liter box would be prefered instead of the 80 liters one. Troel also told me it could be possible, but without any insurance that the filter would work as well as possible, but it should work "not bad".


But, If I have to make modification, would be nice to understant how the original filter is done, so any explanation for a beginner like me would be welcome.
