Walked into a time warp (black hole) today- there was a Commodore 64 computer, HP 711A, Heathkit amplifier, all kinds of tube amps and this radio(?) which say Carlton. There is a Stomberg Carlson radio company, but nothing about Carlton. I thought Carlton was a cigarettes.

US Apex was based in Chicago and started producing radios in 1925 as the Apex Electric Pool, later known as the US Radio and Television Corp. Brand names they used were, Apex, Gloritone, Mantola, Carlton, Radiotrope and others. In 1933 they merged with Grunow and became General Household Utilities Company.
