Anybody did try this tube preamp, how does it sound ?
It use the easy to find 12AX7 tube.

The plate current is at 1.5mA, is it not a bit too high for 12AX7 ?
I found the low distortion and low Z out of this preamp to be interesting.

It's power that's limited to 1.2 watts, Ik is about 8 ma.
I will bet it sounds great. Simple triode circuits with no global negative feedback make a nice amplifier.
In fact, I have a system that has nothing but common cathode triode gain stages from magnetic cartridge to output, and I love the sound

About global negative feedback, I think that can use a max of 8 db NFB and we would still have a great tube sound.
