Think I'm about ready to start my first DIY amp- entry level nothing major. Will do better when I get more experience and brains. Not sure how im powering protections boards yet or if i need them-
Anyway what do you think? Yes im on a budget still haven't found a case I want to use yet-

50/50- Also no choice used amps in my price range are to weak, new amps are thousands of dollars. Used amps with proper power i need are still just to much money. I have a amp that would work in multiples, but id need like 4 total costing probably $600 on low side- and then have to have outlet/breaker capacity for that may separate amps.
Only toss up right now is powering protection boards or i I need them. Also looking into a soft start I don't want pops when turned on and off, but I also don't know if these have that issue.
In some Speaker Protection Boards the negative connectors are connected together, this is not good for some Class D boards where they must be separated.Anyway what do you think?
1. Regarding the Amp itself:
TPA3255 Which One is best? - YouTube he did a good review of this exact board I think.
And also, when you get a case, throw in a fan or two. These amps don't take well to high temps, and shutdown very quickly. The puny heatsink is insufficient if you want to run heavy loads frequently.
And they will never reach 300+300 btw, at best 150-180W (IIRC). And that figure is for better-designed, bigger-hole-in-wallet boards.
Watch out for the voltage regulator too.
2. The PSU: seems a bit...suspect. Do you need such a high number of amperages?
3. Actually I've seen very few 3255 builds with a speaker protection board, so no comment here.
4. Case: maybe salvage one from a dead, old amp?

The one that priced double I found one looks identical at AliExpress for less than 30USD.1. Regarding the Amp itself:

Perhaps OP can remove the connectors and install them on the case to save cost. 🤔

@Karlsonate higher amp because one PSU 4 amplifier boards. That's what I've been advised -- amps really only half decent one I can afford. AB requires more brains I don't have. I made myself have to do this. Decided to build my own active speakers and proper power is unobtainable used and especially new.
@chrisng haha I have a huge POS pile 12 channel I was going to do the same thing gut posts.

Peruse the Pass forums Here in DIY audio . Look at the MINI aca amp ~100$ completed .
It works /sounds like 12 of the Chinese Junk amps. together... can't... seriously 😉

Welp, good luck. Get good ventilation, dial the voltage up to 42V-ish, you wouldn't want to stress both it and the amps too much.@Karlsonate higher amp because one PSU 4 amplifier boards. If any PA amp is affordable, grab them if you can.
Haha I wish- my speakers use compression drivers so pa amps will sound nasty. And ones won't are deep pocket money. Also I need total 14channels haha that will get insanely expensiveWelp, good luck.
