Amp for MTM sensations.

Have planned to build a diy amp. My son wants a physically smaller 2.1 amp setup. So I was browsing and seen this amp. Dayton Audio DTA-PRO 100W Class D Bluetooth Amplifier with USB DAC IR Remote and Sub Output!
Has everything it seems. How well you think it would work on pair of OS mtm speakers? 12x18 room.
Soon was looking at something like this Dayton Audio HTA20BT Hybrid Stereo Tube Amplifier with Bluetooth 4.2 USB Aux In Headphone Sub Out

But I am not sure with the rated 12watts output how well I would play a set of sensations are similar.

Hope some of you with more experience can give me ideas.

This may be wrong but I was reading something somewhere I can't remember where about an amplifier that may have claimed to be Class D with tubes but turned out to be a Class B amplifier with tubes and a pretty poor implementation to boot.

Somewhere on Audio Science Review?

From the specifications.. Transistors: Toshiba 1941/5198

2SA1941 | Bipolar Transistors | Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation | Americas – United States
2SC5198 | Bipolar Transistors | Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation | Asia-English

Plus the 12W per channel specification.

If it were really Class D with a tube preamp then you would expect a similar output power to the other unit you link to. Better to buy one of those but if your son has his heart set on glowy things there are some/many members here that would be able to pile in with some esoteric suggestions for add on valve preamplifiers that would plug into the aux input.
