Could we have a collection so that the OP can buy a new keyboard. His current one clearly has a stuck Caps Lock key.
Mu metal is fine until you bend it. Then it stops working and needs to be heat-treated again.
Last time I looked aluminium shield was available in quite long lengths in most supermarkets or kitchen shops.

Hi!
As in Italy this is not available (aluminium shield), can I ask a link to someplace in Europe that sell it?
Thanks!
In the US the big-box home improvement stores have adhesive backed aluminum tape (3 to 6cm wide) in the wall or window insulation dept. and the furnace duct dept.
Automobile parts stores have heavier tape in the body repair and muffler repair departments.

Is there any downsides on using aluminum cooking foil as far as thickness and RF is concerned for interconnects? Or is it a win win situation if properly terminated and grounded

Making your own cable is every bit as barmy as making your own capacitors, but somewhat easier than making your own semiconductors.

I'm working in EMC at the moment. We use copper foil tape for shielding cables. Aluminium foil does not perform well. Earth bonding is better with copper. Conductor Emissions are better with copper. Radiated Emissions are better with copper. Plus you can solder wires to copper easier than aluminium.
Buy shielded cable, you will get a better result and probably cheeper by the time you have finished messing about.
First read posts #8 & #14.
But copper foil is useful in other DIY electronic areas.
So I get mine in a hobby/crafts store that deals in leaded & stained glass.

Copper roof flashing is VERY common in the construction industry and is available in rolls.
You could also take some RG58 type coaxial cable and pull the center conductor out of it, then you will have a tinned copper "Jacket" to work with.
Larger coaxial cables could be used if you need a different diameter of "Jacket".
I like RG400 since it is silver plated over solid copper.
