I have some info from my old Altec notebook.

Hopefully the info might help you if you already don't have it.

The 1579A is completely interchangeable with the 1579B. I think the 1579C is the same but I'm not sure. The specs look to be the same.

I thought I would provide some information to let you know your not stuck looking to find the "A" The "B" is identical to the A.

If I had some I'd gladly give them to you.
