Before I go ahead with repairing this amp I thought I would ask if anyone has had any experience with this amp. The amps indicator comes on but does not power up. I believe the fuses I have marked are the problem. They measure open. I believe they are Littelfuse 448 series. I figure the caps will have to be removed to get the fuses replaced. All semis measure fine. Thanks.

Seriously? The fuses don't lever out? If it really seems not, try calling Alpine (or Googling) to get a service manual.
I agree with my friend 1moreamp, those fuses look like they're underneath the transformers so removing the caps might not be that much help.

The SMD style fuses are soldered to the board, so levering will only damage the board. The transformers will likely be the least effort to remove and reinstall, since their lead structure are fairly durable. A little soldering wicking of vacuum solder removal and VIOLA the transformer is in hand, and fuses are accessible. Heck of a design though, to place fuses in such an inaccessible space and soldered in place WHEW!! what were they thinking???😱

I got a monster Pioneer (don't know what model, its a savage board) and it has 5amp mini fuse SOLDERED to the board, one on each mosfet😱😱, I believe it was 12 of them.
Thanks all and thanks C. I will get this thing torn apart and decide between the transformer or caps. I will report back here so anyone else going through this will have help. These fuses are around $1.00 each. Strange design.
