Aleph P1.7 Chassis ?

I have been planning this chassis for a long time and have finally made some progress. My question is should I anodize it black or silver?

I like black, but that is a personal preference, silver would look good too. That is a really nice looking home for a Aleph P 1.7 by the way, I like it.

Great looking chassis.
My vote is for black. Apart from the fact that it tends to hide any blemishes in the finish work (at least better than silver), black is far more timeless.

Black would definitely hide more so it would be a lot less work adding a brushed finish befor anodizing.

Also it would somewhat match my chipamp.

hey that's a cool (I assume) power button. Is the blur ring just backlighting or is it part of the button, and most importantly--where did you get it???

The ring is a piece of acrylic tubing that is flush with the face surronding the volume knob. It is lit from behind with E L wire.
I hope to do the same with this new case that I am building.
I will start assembling the electronics into the case and post more pictures soon.

easy enough and very cool.

I had never heard of E L wire -- just did a search on it. Pretty cool stuff -- I'm going to have to get some.

They do more than black and silver, my last project I did in gold with black contrast and wood.
