Hello I am planning on building one of the Aleph amplifiers, but am trying to find out if the heatsinks that I have found will work.
I plan on using 2 sinks per channel in a mono bloc configuration, with 6 currett source devices on 1 sink and 6 output devices on the other.
I have no idea if the sinks I have will do the job.
they are 10 1/2 inches long by 4 5/8 inchs wide by 3 3/4 inches tall, the back plate to this sink is 1/2 inch thick with the fins being 3 1/4 inches tall.
does any one have any ideas.
please feel free to e mail me at rjones5296@aol.com

Rod Elliot's site, www.sound.au.com, has a nice little excel sheet to calculate the thermal resistance for your sink's. This sheet and some extra calculations will give you a good indication if your sink's will be adequate.
There is extensive information about heatsinks on this forum. Please use the search function.

Here is a link to the Thermalloy page for this sink, or at least there version of it.

I'm guessing it would work as you want to use it, but would be extremely hot (over 60c). Go run the numbers.
