Hi All

My Aleph 5 is currrently the subject of a rebuild -see wobbly output thread - it has now blown a few output fets I suspect . (another thread)
Anyway - I've taken delivery of 50 irf240's and will be matching them for output fet replacement.

This is my question:
I use it to drive some diy ribbons (650hz up) via an impedence matching transformer (to avoid the wobbles in the dc offset).
Can i instead of using the matching transformer go back to the 4ohm load in series with the ribbon (it works ok except for dc offset) BUT add an inductor across the outputs of the amp to cutoff really low frequencies- essentially a 1st order filter.
The crossover (dcx2496) is before the amp.
Will this "short " across the outputs cause any dramas?...
will the aleph stand-it or will something likely blow?

Many thanks in advance for any advice

Cheers
