Akai SW-131A drivers

Hello,

While frequenting a local Value Village I saw a pair of 70s Akai speakers. The model number was SW-131A. I know some of this vintage stuff had decent drivers, and was wondering if this was one of them. The grille clothe is tightly woven and pretty opaque so I couldn't see much. I could however see that the drivers were cream colored with rust colored surrrounds, but I could not determine the driver sizes with any accuracy. Any chance there is a FE103 precursor in there?

TIA,

Could be... some of the Akai R-R have FE103As (10F3s), and i've scored some Panasonic variants. Are these a small TL (rectangular vent out the back at the bottom). Newer ones of these had a ceramic magnet driver -- still pretty decent (got a pair downstairs)

Thanks for the reply Dave.

I don't recall a port, but I really just took a quick glance. I think I'll just go by tomorrow and take 'em. I'm sure for the price I can't go wrong. Once I get a look at the drivers I'll post back. No doubt I'll need help identifing them 🙂
