AIKIDO line stage

Hi

I just wired a noval AIKIDO preamp with 6CG7 input and 6DJ8 output.
I want to use it with a regulated 300V PS.
I read somewhere that the R12 component from the RC filter was useless in this configuration but needed to be replaced by 100/500 ohms resistor.
What is it for ?
Limiting current ?
What is the benefit of deleting R12 ?

R12 are part of the B+ filter. If your HV is really well regulated, their filtering may not be necessary. If they are already on the board, I wouldn't personally go through the trouble of removing/changing them (unless my B+ voltage were really marginal and they were dropping too many Vs).
