Hi,
This is my first post. I was considering buy this eBay headphone amp and giving it a go as I’m pretty new to all this. I would welcome anybody’s thoughts especially if someone has already built one, or alternative suggestions.

Interesting mains transformer.
Impressed by one of the parameters "30MV protection"
30 mega volt protection is amazing !

Looks pretty decent for the money - nice solid case, R-core transformer, output protection with relay. Ticks most of the boxes - the only downside for me is the rather prominent red input coupling caps. Just a personal preference though!
Shame the front panel layout had zero thought put into it! Three things placed at random spacing it seems.

Isolated input and output jacks - I won't be surprised if RF immunity isn't all that great.
It’s a good value and probably will sound fine. I have that chassis for my other amps. I like the volume knob on the right. Can’t put HP jack on left where psu is so it turns out the positions are quite limited in a low profile case like this. My one complaint is that transformer is too close to the amp board and it might pick up hum. The amp board should be made more compact and moved to the right. A smaller toroidal might have less leakage.
