Ok, I'm trying to fix an adcom GFA-545 II amp ...I can see 2 caps are blown out, which I can replace if I knew the value. Any layout, schematic, service manual would be great. Anyone? Link? Thanks!

if you happen to HAVE a 545, can you look inside it please and let me know the value of cap c605 and c606 (those are the labels on the boards) Thanks ya'll!

Ok, I replaced the capacitor and everything else seems to be in order. I'm getting about 56v +- from the power supply, but there is a huge amt of DC on the outputs, like 39v Any fast ideas? There is a bias trimpot, but that doesn't help. Thanks!

Thanks Azrela, I think I just need to figure this one out on my own, or gut the thing and use it for something else. The power supply still works fine, but 39v on the speaker outputs sounds like the driver's are shorted or the outputs are shot or something like that. If anyone wants to point me in a more exact direction that'd be great. I already have the schematics from COBRA ...so I know what the parts are. Thanks!

Hi, Mattyo5

Have you sorted the problem?
My best guess is the output-drivers...

Please let us know if / what you find, and if you manage to tweak it...(read somewhere that someone had a trafo-update for it long time ago, probably more VA, and a few volts up...?).

I actually sent the amp boards to a guy that i know that repairs such things. I'm not getting charged too much for it either. So he's ontop of things. When I get it back I'll try to post on how it sounds 🙂
