You can rephrase your topic and get "the short answer":

Sort of, but you can have a design that's phase coherent, but not time aligned.

Crossovers

but less will do, certainly 😀

my own personal first steps to speaker design and crossovers were to understand how caps and inductors work
what they do electrically when in series, or in paralel
cant say I have got much further than that 😱 🙂
