Hello Everybody,

First, a few words about this site. I've been on a few audio sites before, and I have to say that this one feels like home. The interaction between everyone seems more personable. When this site was down for those few month, I was kind of disappointed. I thought something good just ended, but when it came back up it was even better! Thanks Jason.

Now, about me....

I'm a network monitoring engineer UNISYS Corp. and was originally a recording engineer. I studied video/audio at the university level; before and at the end of my studies, I interned for 2.5 years for a producer/engineer/song writer in Philadelphia. The studio was based in Sigma Sound Studios. A well regard recording studio in Philly.

I got into DIY audio in high school, because I couldn't afford good gear. I could barely afford bad gear. So, I started w/ speakers using the standard Radio Shack manual. I read Stereophile magazine and dreamed about hearing the stuff I could only read about. Corey Greenberg described a buffered-passive preamp DIY design and I was hooked! I started to look for more source and found Mark V Electronics, they have assembled and unassembled amps and preamps. I built a pair and they sounded great!

My first issue of Audio Amature was in '94 and it had, of all things, the original Zen amp project. What a way to start!! I built it a few times and it didn't work or caught fire. After a few adjustments from advise I receieved from people on the net and this site, it worked. I also made the BOZ w/ no problems.

Currently, I'm working on a 2 stage SE amp. Then the Pass balanced preamp.

I've been doing this hobby for over 10 years and never had anyone to bounce ideas off of til now. It's kind of like living in the dark. If anyone in the Philly area would like listen to my stuff or visa-vera, let me know.

Thanks!
