Hi,
Is it ok to use multi-strand lighting flex cable (each copper wire is about 1mm thick) to connect speakers in in a multi-way cabinet?
Merci beaucoup.

Yes. I think it would be fine. Just remember the polarity. When I use this sort of wire I will run a texta along one half of the wire for as long as needed so that I don't spend (waste) too much time on getting my positives and negatives mixed up. I am assuming that it is conventional two core flex.
Just out of curiosity, what are you building?
Cheers from Queensland and sorry, but am just out of my skin following Essendon's big win over Collingwood. (Just had to share it with someone!)

Hello Jonathan,
Thanks for your reply-- I've got heaps of the flex so I thought I'd use some of it and save a few bucks.
Unfortunately I can't say what I'm building as I promised the designer I'd keep it a secret.
Thanks again!

Yes. I use it all the time, that or 2.5mm2 which is the best value. Good for speaker cable too, and I use 6mm for subs.Hi,
