Hey all,
Wiring up the 833 amp and I wondered how others have dealt with the cathode/screen connections of the 6E5P, noted on the schematic as k,S. Both pin 4 and pin 9 connect to the cathode and the grounded screen on each side of the tube. In my initial testing I only connected pin 9, but I don't know if that's optimal or not.
So, has anyone tried connecting just pin 9 versus just pin 4 versus both pin 9 and pin 4? Results?

Should be the same, because these 2 pins are internal connected, you can see them attached to a bar under the tube.
You can choose anypin which is better for wiring.

On the 6E5P and 6E6P I have I connect the screen to the plate through a 100 ohm resistor and wire both cathode connections together. I also usually end up with about 180V on the plate (a-k) and about 25mA plate current. I prefer the 6E6P by a slight bit. Nice cheap tubes.
