5" Wharfdale speaker - Is this a tweeter or mid range
It's missing it's surround, I have two in the same condition
That should be mid range.
Cambric edge can be replaced as it is basically foam rubber that rots away over the years.

It is the 5'' Bronze and it was used as a midrange unit in the Wharfedale W3 and W4 models. Foam plastic surrounds were typically used for this speaker.
I have found this:
http://www.troelsgravesen.dk/Wharfedale_cat_files/Wharfedale_CabinetModels_1962_page1-8.pdf
A 5 inch tweeter is used in in W2 with a 12 inch woofer in this 1962 wharfedale catalogue
However they came from a dilapidated (I think) W4 - I still have the 12 inch woofer and 3 inch tweeter
W4 description Page 4 mentions "special 5 inch" units
On page 7 they are described a having a cloth surround, but these had foam surrounds
They are also described as mid range units below
https://www.ln271828.net/five_inch.html
Where do you find the felt used to repair the gaskets and surrounds?

It is a tweeter. At least the set i had were (as per korg’s first link). Quit a decent one. Th esurround is very low density flat foam.
