If this circuit wastes 1 to 1.8 A of rail current at idle, to produce 38 w into 4 ohms. then it is a useless pile of trash. The heat sink required for Q1 + Q2 would be $$$.1.to 1.8A is my tested bias
The competition quoted in post #6 wastes 20 ma of idle current, or 1.4 watts, to produce 73 watts (24.2 vac out).

Pls. Enlighten your knowledge by reading the difference in topologies like, Class A, B, AB, D, H etc. In audio amplification.
Class A was high tech in the 1950's when a power transistor in a 3 watt output car radio cost >6 hours pay. I knew black movers who had worked for <$.75 an hour prior to inflation.
Now that power transistors cost <6 minutes pay, and we are suffering the hottest days ever and the most floods forest fires and hurricanes ever, Class A is stupid tech. Especially stupid is a 38 watt output version that consumes 108 watts.

He has better designs than this. I was inspired by his big collection (20+ designs).

For comparison, the computer that I am typing this on consumes 110W when idle and 330W when the CPU and GPU are both at 100%. It runs at stock voltage and frequencies.

Just run it on DC solar power, and use a small pump that circulates the pool water through the heat sinks. Do I have to solve every little problem? 😎
