Are there any 3D tube meshes available? I can make envelopes pretty quickly just from an outline. Frank.Pocnet provides plenty of those. Filling the guts though could take a day or two per tube. I just want to plot my circuit while forming layout and the chassis. I don't want a tube used in my project until every connection is bolted down to its terminal block. If I try to jimmy it, I might die from clumsiness.
I'm sure there are a few of these out there, but there wasn't a reply, so I figured I'd share what I came up with in blender. Everything is to scale, I will be using this model to make a 3d footprint of my circuit. I will be using terminal blocks and cloth wire. I will also block out my cooling system.
With glass. It would be nice to add the guts to the tubes and add glow. Time better spent actually building imo.
They've got a few tubes. None of the ones I'm using. I could put the guts in, export the blender file to CAD, and post that for others. It would be pretty easy to get a set of common tubes up using Frank's electron Tube Data sheets
