With respects to "Tennessee Ernie Ford" who I first heard in 1954 as a wee lad in Colorado Springs while my dad loaded a tree into the back of a pick up while I stood in the front seat looking through the rear window. I was eating a Fig Newton while watching.

Strange the memories that stay with us.

My father passed on the 1st of this year, so looks like it's going to be a time of remembrance from now on. In the late 60's, he brought home a stereo (turntable and amp) - but no speakers. I think I've been on the speaker fulfillment quest ever since.

Strange, the simple issues that remain buried so deeply within.
