I want to make a 2.1 system for the kitchen. That will involve building:
1) Two little full-range satellite speakers
2) subwoofer enclosure
3) a 2.1 amp with source selection
4) I *might* dissect an old rubbish DAB radio to stick in it
It's item 2) that I'm struggling with a bit. Given what I've said already, you'll gather that I'm not aiming at any kind of audiophile quality. But I do want a degree of quality to it and I'm really struggling with getting started.
Can anyone point me towards an understanding of the basics of a subwoofer - selecting a suitable budget driver and designing a decent enclosure to get the best out of it.
