I suppose this qualifies as a power supply question -
I'm intending to build a portable op amp circuit and would like to power it with +/- 15V rechargeable batteries. They would need to have a case style that I can get holder/clips for without having to fabricate my own. Current drain would be 50 ma or less.
Suggestions please?

This all depends on how big you want the project to be.
15V x 2 is easy to achieve, you don't need big batteries for the current requirement but you might like bigger batteries so that you are not changing them every few hours.
I would use AA batteries, you can get holders for them in many combinations most of which have MN1400 (PP3) style connectors or solder connections.
+/- 12V may be easier to achieve and keep things fairly simple.
