I'm having trouble sourcing the original 12N60C mosfet for the PFC section of a Mackie powered speaker. Will the HGTG12N60C3D work as a substitute?
HGTG12N60C3D Fairchild Semiconductor | Mouser
HGTG12N60C3D Fairchild Semiconductor | Mouser
The Mouser part is an IGBT not a FET.
IGBT,

Ah, didn't see that- thanks for pointing that out.
Is there someplace where I can just buy one (instead of 10)?
maybe a Higher current rated part of the same family would work like the FQA19N60 found at Digikey,
Invalid Request
The specs between them are very close except for the higher gate capacitance,

or maybe one of the Lower current rated parts would be better as 9 amp models are listed.

FWIW

P.S The listing doesn't show 9 amp models, You would have to search through what they have to find a comparison, Typically the change in the last One or Two of the First Three letters indicates the package style within the same family or part number.

Buy 10, and sell the rest on Ebay.
There may be others who are looking for these...
