12" VOLFENHAG subs, any good?

i just bought 2 12" volfenhag subs, and were wondering if they were any good. the specs looked pretty good, but i have never heard of them before. anybody who knows anything a bout these, please tell me

Haha, these were my first subs I ever owned. I used a Bazooka Class D amp to drive them and to be honest, they worked well in a small sealed box.

I had a friend melt the voice coils (something smelled burnt) on his two but mine worked for a long time.

i got a 2 channel 760 watt xplod, is that too much for those 12"s?

I don't think so but use your head when you set gain levels and tune your system.

I started with a sealed box purchased from Best Buy, it was given to me for free.

I then bought this pink foam from Home Depot and I believe I used to layers on the back of the box. Just to give you an idea of the size of the box I used.

The Volfenhags I had were the red coned ones, DVC, rated for 1000W.

i made my own sealed box that fis under the back seat, do you think i should put that foam stuffin it too?

I wouldn't put the foam blocks in it unless you feel you made the box too big. I am assuming since the box fits under your back seat it is pretty small. Other than to reduce the size of the box the foam blocks had no sonic benefit

I did use polyfil in the box but I am aprehensive to recommend it as I do not know if it has any benefit either.
