072B opamp

I am stuck in a rural area. 50 miles from anything. I need an SMD 072B opamp. Can someone suggest a common use for this unit? I likely have one in a device I can savage.

You could find many *through hole* dual Op Amps which could replace TL072 (think JRC4558 and similar) in 80's Hi fi equipment you might have laying around BUT SMT types are modern, Digital era, and generally not much analog processing is used, some 100 pin digital monster does everything and at most needs a power amp to drive speakers.

Try to think of a couple extra things you need to spread mail cost and order online.

Even digital things meet the outside world. A dead CD player or DVD player or even cassette deck probably has a couple dual op amp ICs driving the audio output jacks. Look for 8-leg ICs to start. Even if they are not exactly TL072B, many dual op amaps will work in place of others. It depends upon the application.
