Grundig Studio RPC500 fault

Hi all,

Absolute newbie to this forum here, so please excuse any errors and omissions on my part.

Tony here from India. I have a Grundig Studio RPC 500 which developed a problem after a high voltage fluctuation, which occurred when the set was plugged in but not in the ON state.

Unfortunately the set does not come on since the voltage fluctuation. I kinda isolated the problem to the power control board , pic attached. The isolation transformer on this board seems to have burnt. I however am unable to guess the voltages and pin configuration of this transformer.

I would be extremely grateful if someone could shed some light on this.

Thankyou very much for the circuit drawing. I have isolated the part of the circuit diagram that corresponds with this part. This seems to be a 24 volt power supply as the circuit diagram indicates an off voltage of 24.5V and an ON voltage of 15.7V on the output side of the bridge. Are my calculations right, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

That's not much help in determining what transformer you need. It looks to be in German... which I don't read or understand.

Are you sure it's the transformer?

Maybe one of the others can help...

I lived in Germany and read the schematic. Unfortunately there is no clue on it, but for a 24V rectified output this would be a 17-18V trafo. I would try with 12 or 15V first.

Hi to all of you. Apologies for not getting back on this. Was busy with the New Year!!

I did not get down to ordering or testing out the circuit board. However I did manage to open out the plastic casing of the transformer and found a number on it. Have attached some pics. To me the no looks like EJ30/15, 5gs
