Hi everyone , I'm new here so take it easy,

I have a almost new RAVDVD2 unit bought it at a yard sale here the guys powered it up initially but since i connected it in car the unit switches on but after taking for repairs the guy said that the NEC microprocessor chip is pulsing on one side preventing the main tuner unit from operating properly, problem is i can't get a programmed chip anywhere the only ones available is the replacement but they are un-programmed???, So i put that on hold and came across a BD1001 Power Series amp(Old skool one), lo and behold the amp was sold dirt cheap because most of the internals where removed when it was attempted to be repaired, mosfets etc. i think due to lack of parts the person gave up. So i turn to you guys as i saw a lot of people with RF equipment be successful on this forum. So i'm hoping here is where the answers will be:rolleyes:

Finally Got the Amp opened

Finally got the amp opened after trying to find the right Allen Key to open the board etc.
So open season guys , is this one a Pipe dream of reviving it and getting it to work again is the big question....Let me know I'm opened to suggestions:eek::eek::eek:.

Thanks in advance Kevin

Just spoke to a really Awesome guy named Jason from Freemans Stereo & Video in the US and he said from first glance

"It’s missing the 6 power supply capacitors, the 8 power supply mosfets, and the 4 rectifiers at least. If you don’t have any experience working with the MEHSA strip(the metal strip the mosfets and rectifiers solder to, then yea, the heatsink can be used for wall decoration."
But if someone wants to try to repair it:
the power supply capacitors are 330uf/63v 105 degree
the 8 power supply mosfets are MTP75N05HD ( I use IRF3205 in their place)
the 4 rectifiers are STPR15 ( these never go bad, I have never ordered them, so you would have to do some research on them)
That’s just what is obvious, and I'm sure more is wrong.

So I guess it's a start, I'm just waiting to hear what you guys think as I'm sure you have repaired tonnes of these.

Please help on this BD1001
