Neutrinos are sneaky little critters, able to penetrate Everything, even miles underground, & through rock. Imagine the damage/changes, they & other particles can do to components. Now components made from different materials will not react in the same way, so some will be better at resisting those particles.

Neutrinos are omnipresent in nature such that in just one second, tens of billions of them "pass through every square centimetre of our bodies without us ever noticing

Neutrinos are neutral particles that switch among three flavors: electron, muon and tau. Scientists have observed electron neutrinos from the sun changing to muon and tau neutrinos. They have seen muon neutrinos produced by cosmic rays oscillate to tau neutrinos. With the NOvA experiment, scientists are searching for a third type of neutrino oscillation: muon-to-electron.

The science is about those particles is one thing, but my text @ the top is an example of how it "could" be used/Abused to promote/sell "special" components, eg capacitors etc etc, that are more resistant to particle changes etc.

How could we Prove they were wrong, or misleading people ? Hey, i've just had an idea for a new company 😀

Hi,

You don't have to prove anything is neutrino resistant,
you can get a Nobel prize for proving something is
affected by neutrinos and is easily detectable.

As ever, you can never prove nonsense is wrong,
you can't show its right, and a proof is being right.

rgds, sreten.

Minor snag in the argument: the reason neutrinos go through rock etc. is because they don't interact, therefore they don't damage anything either.

I guess to the layman the ability to 'penetrate' rock means superior strength and firepower; to the physicist it just means very weak interactions.

However, neutrino irradiation could be the next 'cryogenic processing' for audio cables etc. It's easy to take money off people who know just enough physics to confuse themselves.

Vastly (over)simplified particle physics 101

Imagine a soccer goal. That is normal matter. Hit it with a football or an overbalancing goalie, and it distorts and the object rebounds. It has an effect, and we can see and measure that.

Now fire a cannonball at it. It makes a hole and carries on. it has a different effect, but we can still see and measure that.

Now fire a 1mm ball bearing at the same net. It's very likely it will pass straight through. There is nothing to see and measure. This is likely the result no matter how fast it's going. We could flick it from the fingers or fire it from a hypersonic rail gun, with no perceptible difference.

Now make that ball bearing 100 times smaller...

Neutrino resistant cables. You just gave me an idea. 🙂
Dark matter is much more predominant, so of course, it should be far more of a problem.

Maybe a "light energy generator" to counteract the dark energy?

If Apple can get a patent for "slick design" and Amazon a patent for taking a picture on a white background, I am sure some patents to support any claims should not be too hard to come by. Patent numbers always add credibility. 😀

Make it a billion times smaller, then consider that particles are really only a small resonance in space/time and what we think of as a particle is only a macro description and does not exist in the quantum world.
