Hello,

I wont to design a SMPS with ZVS switching, with the output power of 3.6KW.
The input voltage is 390V, and fs~75kHz
First I have chosen the power transformer, so I have selected an E55 3F3 ferroxcube.
All the parts for this power supply will be enclosed in an aluminum case with 4.2cm height, the transformer has 4.1mm (bobbin case), the case will also be used for cooling of the power mosfet's transformer...I expect the power dissipation for the transformer to be 25W (core+cooper), so it will have good thermal contact between the core and case.
This are the results (calculation) for the transformer:
Input voltage 390V
Fs=75KHz
Bmax=1400G
Ae=3.53cm^2

So I expect to have on the Primary side 24 turns (i have used 355V for the input 0.9 duty cycle)
Now for the secondary side:
Vout=500V
Ns=34 turns.

For the power mosfet I havn't decide yet, I have several choices:
FCH47N60NF
IXFR80N50P

The first one has Qrr of 1.3uC, the second Qrr=0.6uC
I wont to use power mosfets with Rds lower than 60mohms.
I also will use UCC3895 from TI, and some custom made GDT and a 9A peak gate drive.

Can someone tell me if the first power mosfet hasn't the Qrr too big for the ZVS?
