@allofyou

Given that I believe that those who made the two objections did well and that in my opinion it is not a question of splitting hairs at all, I ask myself and I ask all of you: do you have more fun by not giving a damn about the description of the theme or by adhering as much as possible to it?
You all already know my personal answer.
If the title shouldn't have anything to do with the subject or lyrics of the song why does one post anyway?
The current topic is not at all easy and you should know that for people like me who don't even understand the lyrics of the songs when they are sung because they barely understand what they read in English, do you know how I did it?
I opened a file manager choosing only the titles of my songs and then I read (digonally, of course) all the titles trying to find the most suitable one.
A lot of times the song turned out to be just instrumental...
For me this means playing for real.

14 - Reptilia - The Strokes

I think #06 and #13 need to be removed, as they don't comply with the theme's essential criterion. Either Don McLean and Richard Harris sing about American Pie and McArthur Park, respectively. It surely is no hair splitting at all. As in any game, there are rules that need to be adhered to, otherwise there's no fun in it and it isn't fair for sure.

Best regards!

While splitting hairs,

I disagree about #6...It clearly fits the description imho..."Songs where the title doesn't seem to be appropriate for the song subject..."

"American Pie" by Don McLean is a song rich in allegory and symbolism, primarily reflecting on the changes in American society and the music industry from the late 1950s to the early 1970s. The song famously begins with a tribute to the tragic plane crash on February 3, 1959, which killed early rock and roll performers Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson. This event is referred to as "The Day the Music Died" in the song.

Throughout the lyrics, McLean uses a narrative style that combines a nostalgic look at his own youth with a critical commentary on the subsequent cultural shifts. The song critiques the loss of innocence and the commercialization of the music industry, lamenting how these changes affected the landscape of American music. It serves as both a musical chronicle and a social commentary, capturing the sense of disillusionment felt by many who lived through those turbulent times.

It has nothing to do with patisserie or any food for that matter...Hence inappropriate title for the song lyrics. (beside the chorus I guess)...Am I wrong?:geek:
