The Selenium looks interesting. What is your crossover freq.? What is the topology? How efficient is it?

This may sound weird, but I use only 1 uF cap on the tweeter. That way it attenuates the tweeter to make it flat and matching the BetsyWOW. No resistor, no pad. I used Holm software to measure fr response. I may have data somewhere.
