P7,
If you want me to take some pics of how I wired it, I'll PM them to you. Ron

P7,
Did you wire the RelVol1C BEFORE the Aikido input? Yes? If you wired it after then that's the problem.... ![]() Here's the pics. RCA inputs are on the top near the metal plate (right side in the photo) Outputs are from the Aikido capacitor selector. We'll make it work ................or burn it trying! Ron

P7. Nope, not sure. Still doesn't sound right does it! Tomorrow I'll have to find the box that has the soldering iron in it and desolder those Resistors in series, then I can check their values. 100M just can't be right!!! It's what they read by color code though. I'll let you know for sure tomorrow. Mine works, I just can't remember exactly what I did. ![]() Ron

I mounted all resistors I have, for a total over 100M. Still can't reach volume 0
argh!!! Dantimax, what a shame!!! What kind of seller you are? |

Anyone know the current demand of the Input1 module?
Ive just had one of these transformers go bang on me. It was driving the Input1 module which also had a feed running off to power the control board (non-dantimax). Ive no idea what kind of current the control board needs either (but I do have schematics). Its from a Cambridge audio 340A SE and includes a motor driver for the volume pot and a large i/c for controlling the input switching. Any ideas on what size transformer I need?

MikeS,
I can't speak to your exact kit, because I don't have the specs on it, but, the RelVol1 /1C / RelVol3 need 5V DC with 300mA current. Ron Piero7, I'll desolder those resistors today and then measure what they are in series, DON'T give up! We'll get it done! Ron

In the end I had a look at Mikkels power supply's on his site. One of his suitable supplies is capable of 750mA so I'll use that figure as a bechmark. Im going for 1000mA so I should have plenty of headroom.
