For you to know, it seems that Ian is actually working on his reclocker to fit as Rpi or Odroid Hat. In such case Rpi or Odroid with specific software could work as Network Audio Media Renderer which for many of us is ultimate digital audio architecture

Using rpi - hifiberry digi+ PRO (reclock) i2s - dam1021.
Not sure if it an improvement or not with the reclocker....

Wow. Did not know that. I also use modified PC and usb for now and it has always amazed me how consequent hardware and software tweaks impacted overall sound. I just thought PC audio might be blind route due to USB transport and sound will be better with buffered I2S reclockers (like Ians) together with Pi or Odroid. But it seems your experience led to opposite conclusion. Thanks.

I do not think that Hifiberry digi+ PRO reclocks anything. It just adds MLCK singal to make it work with dacs that require this. For Soekris is useless.

I know that, but I would like to, maybe, make a little mod that's it's neat and does the job better then original part. So, batteries etc isn't my style.

Which regulators did you say are better, but plug and play?

Regards
