I am not an audio/dyi expert, just an interested consumer. But I do read a lot of reviews and the most popular software packages seem to be:
Both are free and there should be many how-to-s online. Hope one of those fits your needs ... other than that I only know the "one arm and one leg" option

Default Update

Hi Everybody,

Just a quick update. The input board has been sent out for manufacturing. I should have them by the middle of next week, and hopefully if everything goes well have it operational by that weekend.

I've decided that I'd like to do a group buy of my overall design to share it with those interested. I already know of several members on this thread that have expressed interest (Thanks!), just wondering how many more would be interested. Knowing would help me determine the overall cost of the boards and parts. The group buy would be for the DAC and two external regulators (series or shunt), output amplifier and optional series regulators, S/PDIF and I2S/DSD input boards, controller board that mounts to the OLED, the tactile switch board, rotary encoder, the main power supplies and power relay board, and cables. The remote is optional, just about any Sony remote would do.

Best Regards,

Al

Any chance of, say, a block diagram of each of the boards so we can understand how they interrelate please?

For example, as I said before I'm interested in a multi channel dac for digital crossover use, so would like to understand what modules I might require

Thanks

Hi ChrisPa,

Sure, no problem. What did you have in mind for your digital crossover? That way I can draw up a block diagram that fits your application.

Thanks

A total of 4 channels to begin with - stereo, 2 way per channel; balanced outputs

Later I'd like to add another 2-4 channels of sub bass

Hi Chris,

Give me a few days. I really want to fully complete the design before spending anytime on operating instructions. I'm really close, just need to test the input board, and specs. As soon as I'm done I'll provide the details you're looking for. Thanks!

Best regards

Al
