Was tested as low as 30 Ohm of impedance.

I've seen these cathode follower circuits before. I wonder if they work as well as solid state for low Z.

I heard about a "high end" power amp that used parallel cathode followers in the output. It sounds intriguing, but I think you would have to use a lot of tubes. I wonder if it's really that much better than transformer coupled. I bet it makes great tube porn though

Scroll down to the Youtube video and go straight to 5:36 where the amplifier is tested to judge how power it is.

Also, I posted a photo of amplifier Frigate which additionally has 6H30Pi per channel (which alleviates your worries about output power), but moderators did not publish the photo.

Very nice. 50 mW @ 30 ohms is a little shy compared to solid state amps but adequate. I like it.
