Since I know how much it means to you I'll definitely provide you two ALF as soon as I'll get them. You'll be able to make all the listening tests and if ALFs will sense you a taste to go even further you can get VSSA PCBs as well, anytime. But for now we all have to wait the new series will be produced in Semelab. I ordered 300 pcs so for the first GB quantity will suffice what's then depends on members opinions after burn in period.
So please be in touch and follow the thread. When I get those double mosfets I'll sing a song here hehe.

Best regards to you and all present, Andrej
Semelab is not a backyard company. But money is money and if they can't earn money on the parts they will discontinue them.

The only right way todo is like Andrej... To order a fairly large amount.

As soon as the datasheet is more complete i will maybe order them as well. So dont be afraid not to be able to repair.

Hi Sony

Yes I think the same as you, no problem or worries about the producer, only they heve to get the right signal from the market that device is wanted and they'll definitely provide them. It's a start with this little double mosfet, but I tell you it is very very good part, very rougged and precise soundwise. I torture them every single day here and they just singing hehe. Also paralleling them in a scaled up VSSA model would make us all very pleased some day.

Have you tried at low idle current (20 - 40mA)?

It sounded OK but I liked this one more...

Anyway, here is the JFET input, BJT VAS and LATFET output version (the forum member "fab" built something similar before me) of this amp:
Hi Juma
I also prefer your version (over the one you showed) with MOSFET vas. In fact , I just built an hybrid version having Vssa input bjt , MOSFET vas and lateral MOSFET and it sounds quite nice (to my ears)....

Can we try and stick to the original topic here which is discussing Lazy Cats' VSSA lateral FET amp. If you want to discuss other topologies and designs then start a new thread

Ok, I will say it differently:

Hi lazy cat

In case it was not clear for everybody:
What do you think of a VSSA lateral amp topology using a MOSFET instead of BJT for VAS?

Fab

how about we open a new paralel VSSA thread for this debate ????

or even better ....debate could continue here, where it started
and VSSA builders could continue in fresh new VSSA thread ???? ....I think that would be optimal

Tinitus please leave it as it is, all in one thread, otherwise I could not follow and it will be a total mess. One thread for VSSA is OK.

I think this is not any different than what happens in other threads!? Am i right?? He has (Fab) indeed rephrased it.

I don't see why a police stick has to appear here.
