In US the ES9018 DAC chip can be bought from
Welcome To Shaw Electronics LLC

In Europe the DAC chip can be bought from
ismosys.com

For all other countries, the dac chip can be bought from the respective authorized ESS distributors

All components are easily available. Most of the parts are available on digikey and I have included digikey part numbers in the BOM for easy procurement. Those components that are not available on digikey can be bought from ebay, newark and headfishop.com. The different parts and its availability in these sites are clearly mentioned in the BOM.

If anyone interested in getting a completely assembled kit can send in the components in the bom after buying the pcb. The assembled PCB will then be send back. Assembling charge is free but there will be an additional shipping charge of $10.

Also note that additional shipping charge $10 for the assembled kit is only for one board. In case of two assembled boards the additional shipping charge will be $20. The assembling charge is free.

I fail to understand this.

If you just tell me assembling charge is $10/board, then it's perfectly fine. What's the reason behind the additional shipping charge?

When the board is fully assembled extra packing is necessary to protect the components, and cannot be shipped in the usual way as shipping a bare board, hence increase in shipping charge.

The discrete regulator boards which are free giveaways will be shipped along the DAC main board starting March 19, 2012. Those who have already bought the DAC boards will have these regulator boards shipped to their address on March 19, 2012 free of charge. Total of three regulator boards will be given per DAC main board
