Hi Bruno,

I found this reference: Warranty Q

Is it correct?

Yup that's it. It's possible that the cap needs to be higher for a pair of Ncore amps (150nF). I haven't tried it yet though.

Hi Bruno,

Thank you for clear and articulate response. Like many on this forum I am excited about this evolutionary step in your product line and the typology.

Regarding my "lack of charitably" - which is a fair statement - I can't help but be cynical of 7K amplifiers that feature cheap chassis, a different input buffer, branded capacitors and a target price strategy built around a complete amplifier for around $500.00. In retrospect, it was unfair to put you on the spot to explain customer behaviour, but the upside is that you provide an alternative to this audiophile gouging through DIY.

To your continued success.

Bruno, will you put up a group buy/pre-order when all the specs are set and you are ready for production?

No, we will not do that. When it's available you can direct order it in our webshop.

The final release date is not yet available but we target to have it available half December 2011...

Okay, thank you for the information. How will the price be compared to the UCD400HG HxR? A bit higher, or a lot higher?

Question for Bruno: very low impedance loads... how about it?

Currently I use UcD400HG's with SMPS400 that each drive two woofers wired in parallell. Each woofer have 5.3 ohm DCR, resulting in impedance going below 3 ohms in some areas. The UcD400's apparently have no problem with this load.

My question is if the Ncore module will be able to drive half of that impedance? Four woofers wired in parallel for an impedance dropping below 1.5 ohms...?

Why couldn't you just wire with a series/parallel setup to keep the impedance at 5.3?
