It's worthy to note DIYspaceW's impression in an email, especially his tubed DAC... "Its the most transparent solution so far. I have also changed the output stage of the DAC, I use a 6s3p-ev tube and the output impedance is smaller, now around 1600-1800ohms." Last edited by Blues; 11th July 2012 at 08:13 PM. |

Allen,
I am planning to do some changes in my system to go for 500 ohm source output impedance, assuming to even more improve the sound. So far if you want the most transparent volume control solution this is the way to go...I use it for almost a year and works fantastic. |
