Hello,
I just wanted to let you guys know about www.pcbmill.com (founded by me...James), primarily to help DIY guys like yourself cheaply prototype your pcb designs before sending them to a fabrication shop. What i do is mill out you design on a copper board using my machines (real pcb making machines) so the boards come out looking identical to what you would get from chemical or laser printing (without the silkscreen or green finish) Anyway, please check it out....your feedback is more than welcome. Thanks |

Well, the currency is $, so I assume this limits it to United States, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the Eastern Caribbean territories, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Brunei, East Timor, Ecuador, Suriname, El Salvador, Panama, and Belize.

lol...I'm indeed located in the US..NY to be exact..I'll add this info to the website...
Plammox: I just did a quick price check using www.USPS.com and it appears shipping would be $14.00 for priority mail (6-10 days) or $5.00 for standard postal (days unknown)..... Hope this helps. |

Which pcb software formats are you able to handle.
I have an output board design I would like to have made as a generic layout for use by all diy types. Tad |

i use standard gerber rs-274x files...and drill files. Attaching the silkscreen files will make it easier for me to spot the vias so i can rub out the surrounding areas ( to make it easier to solder)...ill update the website this weekend with more details....email me your files whenever your ready.

That's really handy, Jim.
I'm almost considering abandoning the work on my own PCB mill (for which I just bought the lead screws and steppers )On the other hand: I'd better complete it in order not to get wife grief over "another one of those projects you never finish"

plammox.. if ur colse to finishing your project then just finish it for its always easier to sell it. Having your own milling machine is trully awsome. My machines are made by lpkf...specifically to make pcbs...so they cant mill anything bigger than a pcb board (cant mill cases for my projects)...

Jim, I doubt I can build the mill to be as precise as yours, but that won't stop me from trying. "Because I can" is a good enough reason
