We are planning to produce differenct kinds of amplifier this year. All the ampliifers are listed on the following brochure, http://www.sureelectronics.net/Amplifier.pdf.
Please tell us which one is your favourite? We will produce the mosted popular one first. Thanks a lot for your attention. |

From a marketing point of view, I'd go for the completed amps based on the 100W/200W boards. Reason being the market is already flooded with completed TA2024 and LM1875 etc amps, while few completed TK2050/TAS5615 amps are available and those available are either too expensive or too cheaply built. Also I feel that some people want to try these newer high-powered class-D amp kits (both yours and others') but don't have the ability to DIY them so there is a market for the completed amp.
Only you would know this though; if your completed TA2024 amp or the amp PCBs sold better on eBay. If the completed amp did not sell better, then forget what I just wrote. Last edited by wwenze; 28th July 2010 at 07:30 AM. |

I really like the 1x100W option!
And a new suggestion would be using the STA517B instead, so you can deliver up to 200W!! (direct replacement with the TK2050, only a few modifications needed) I also like the 2x50W option What would be the price for the volume control? (and can they be stacked for control more channels, like 5.1 surround) Maybe a volume control with source selector would also be great Maybe you can use a bigger passive cooling block (like the coolers from Zalman) for the 2x100W amplifier. I guess all people here want more power for their amplifiers, but i would like to see some slight mods to the existing tk2050 boards (the non-4 channel boards).
Please remove the limiters underneath the boards, and exchange the ceramic input cap for something with film/foil in it, maybe even the polyester caps that come with the 4 channel boards? Would also like to vote for a sta517b board, but this requires some more changes to the board, as most traces have to be larger, and bigger output coils are needed. |

I vote for a high power completed TK2050 based amp (actually TC2000 + STA517B) with good / high quality critical parts (input caps, output inductors, volume pot), adequate passive cooling and decent inbuilt SMPS. That would be my favorite! :-)

That's right, there are lots of diy amps with 50 wpc or less so a 200W (actually 100 into 8 ohms .03% THD) would be the most popular.

I vote for the 2x200W module, as well as for the 2x100W and 2x50W ready built amps.
And then I vote for a 4x50W ready built, <wishlist> but that I would only buy, if you supply it with an active x-over, so one could create an awesome Sub/Sat or FAST system! And that X-over of course has three inputs, so one wouldn't need to plug around the inputs. Edit2: The x-over doesnt have to be anything fancy, maybe even adjustable only via changing components, or hardwired for say 50/100/200/300/400Hz xo point. </wishlist> Edit: and definitely sell kits with PSUs!
