I would like to offer here DIY DAC6v2, which is popular in Russia and Ukraine. The designer name is Sergey. The following chips were used:
STA120D SPDIF-receiver AD1896A – ASRC DF1700P or SM5842 – DF ADUM1100 and ADUM1400 – galvanic isolation from digital to analog part 2xPCM63P-K with current output GXO-U100A 25ppm oscillator DAC6v2 has I2S input as well, based on ADM1485 transceivers |

What I like in this DAC that I can play with different i/v converters – opamp based, transformer based, discrete, tube-based…
The DAC has several add-ons like AD844 based i/v stage and transceiver board for CD player (I2S signals). |

Bare PCB is $100, DAC6v2 kit - $520 with DF1700 and $580 with SM5842.
